File Transfer

Move files between your phone and desktop without leaving Bom.

Sending Files from Phone to Desktop

  1. Open the Files page in the mobile app.
  2. Tap the upload area or "Choose file".
  3. Pick a file from your phone (up to 50 MB).
  4. Bom uploads the file to your account and the desktop agent downloads it into your current working directory, or Bom's default working directory if none is set.

Receiving Files on Your Phone

When the desktop agent creates or uploads a file for you, it appears in the mobile Files activity list. Tap Download to save it on your phone.

Activity States and Expiry

The Files page shows recent transfers with size, time, and status information.

  • Ready — the file is available to download.
  • Received — you already downloaded it on this phone.
  • Pending — the transfer is still in progress.
  • Failed — something went wrong and the transfer did not finish.
Note

Transfers expire after a while, so download important files before the expiry timestamp shown in the list.

Sign-In Requirement

The Files page is available in guest mode as a preview, but real uploads and downloads require you to sign in.
