Control Your PC by Voice
Speak to your phone and your connected PC starts the real work. Follow progress and hear the result in the same voice session.
Start Your First Voice Session
- Open a Worker conversation in the Bom app for Android or iPhone.
- Tap the microphone. On first use, finish the three-step introduction and allow microphone and speech-recognition access.
- Say the wake name and the task. For example: 'Bom, turn last week's sales into a report.'
- The full-screen voice room shows whether Bom is listening, working, speaking, paused, or reconnecting.
Wake Name and Controls
- The default Korean wake names are 'Bom Agent' and 'Bom-a'. You can save your own alias in Settings.
- Wake-name-free mode lets you speak without saying a name first. New settings apply from the next voice session.
- Pause stops microphone listening and spoken feedback only. A PC job that already started keeps running.
- Cancel Job stops the job that the current voice session started and is still tracking.
- End closes voice mode only. It does not cancel a PC job that is already running.
Pause and End do not stop work on your PC. To stop the work itself, tap Cancel Job or say 'cancel'.
Ask During a Job and Hear the Result
Ask a progress question such as 'How far have you got?' and Bom gives a two- or three-sentence update based on the current job and recent activity. A progress question does not change the instructions for the job. If the answer is delayed, a short fallback update can appear after about 30 seconds.
When the job finishes, Bom reads a short summary of the outcome and what to check. Open the same Worker conversation for the full answer and files.
Support and Privacy
- The current voice command and spoken-reply flow is tuned for Korean.
- Voice mode is available only in the Bom apps for Android and iPhone.
- Android's built-in speech recognizer or iPhone's built-in speech recognizer turns microphone audio into text.
- Bom receives the recognized sentence. It no longer uploads raw audio to the retired Azure speech-conversion service.
- Your operating system's speech provider may process audio remotely, so Google or Apple speech settings and policies can also apply.
Your connected Windows or macOS PC must be on and online with Bom Agent running. If a voice session is still alive, returning to the app restores its room and current state.
