Using Memory
Bom does not inject every past conversation automatically. Worker searches saved memories when they are needed.
How memory works
Items you ask Bom to remember, or that Worker saves through the memory tool, live in an account-scoped store. They are not attached to every new conversation. Worker explicitly searches memory when it needs relevant context.
- Only facts, preferences, and work context saved as memory entries become memories.
- Bom tries semantic matching first and falls back to word matching when semantic search is unavailable.
- Memory belongs to your Bom account, so paired devices can search the same entries.
Note
For semantic search, the saved memory text is converted to a numeric representation by Azure OpenAI on the server. Bom does not automatically upload whole source files as memories.
This Is Separate from the Skills App
The old Dashboard memory graph has been removed. The current Skills app in the Dock shows work methods stored on your PC as a graph or list. It does not visualize server memory.
